Gypsies Cricket Club season awards
DD Treat Medal
This award is the Gypsies’ answer to the Allan Border Medal. At the end of each game, rostered player match day participants are asked to allocate votes of 3, 2 and 1 to team mates (one cannot vote for himself) based on performance. Votes are collected and tabulated in private by the captain or a delegate across the season. At the end of season DD Treat Medal Award Ceremony, a match-by-match review is presented along with a running tally of every couple of reviews. Once all reviews have been completed, the player with the highest number of votes is crowned the DD Treat Medal Award Winner for the season.

Bring It Home Award
This award was a late addition to the Gypsies pantheon. Before each match, a team huddle is called by the captain to deliver instructions and motivation words to the playing group. Since the 2011-12 season, the captain has concluded his speech with the words “bring it home”, upon which a pre-selected player will offer the final words. Each rostered player casts a single vote at the end of the season for the team mate whose Bring It Home speech was most inspiring. The winner of the award each season is the player to collect the most votes.
